The Anchor family of diverse businesses, Anchor U.S.A. Incorporated, Anchor Printing and Anchor Marine Service, are bound together by Dan Nelson's lifetime of experience in both fields and his creative perfectionism.

Dan's experience in the printing business began in 1965 in Green Bay , Wisconsin. After years as a printer and Davidson serviceman, he took a position with Davidson as a press specialist. He trained servicemen and pressmen at the Davidson factory at Whitinsville , Massachusetts . Dedication and skill earned Dan a promotion. He became the Davidson Domestic and International Service Manager. He traveled throughout the world, notably to several countries in South America , China , and Eastern Europe managing Davidson operations, press sales, and dealer press installations. Dan's tenure with Davidson required that he spend extended periods of time in various American metropolitan areas. In addition to Whitinsville , Massachusetts, he lived and worked in Chicago, Illinois; San Francisco, California; Danielson, Connecticut; St. Petersburg, Florida, and Brooksville, Florida.

Dan's experience with boats and marine fiberglass construction began in 1959, the year he built his first kayak. He has continued to work with fiberglass and epoxy since that time. He maintains current technical expertise with the newest epoxy and polyester resins and works with all forms of carbon fiber and Kevlar. Most recently, in November of 2006, he move his shop to his countryside home near Brooksville, Florida. Call first for directions and stop over at the shop and view his work in progress.

Anchor Dan's experience in these fields combined with his creative perfectionism and uncompromising work ethic have produced three remarkable businesses -- Anchor U.S.A. Inc., Anchor Printing and Anchor Marine Service. A business or product is only as good as the hands, mind and values of the man in charge. Dan is the man to trust for premium printing and premium fiberglass work. You will know this when you see the gleam of pride in his eyes as he admires a page of perfect printing or the glistening finish and smooth curves of a kayak he has renovated and is about to deliver to his client.
